19/90 COFNODION / MINUTES
Cynigiwyd gan Cyng. B. Jones ac eiliwyd gan Cyng. L. Hughes fod cofnodion y cyfarfod a gynhaliwyd nos Fawrth 28 Gorffennaf 2020 yn cael eu derbyn fel cofnod cywir o’r trafodion.
It was proposed by Cllr. B.Jones and seconded by Cllr. L. Hughes that the minutes of the meeting held on Tuesday, 28th July 2020 be accepted as a correct record of proceedings.

It was proposed by Cllr. E. Morgan and seconded by Cllr. L. Hughes that the minutes of the meeting held on Thursday 27th August 2020 be accepted as a correct record of proceedings.
19/91 MATERION YN CODI / MATTERS ARISING
Cof/Min 19/69 (1) A40 SGWAR DRYSLWYN SQUARE, DRYSLWYN / BROAD OAK / DIOGELWCH Y FFYRDD / ROAD SAFETY – A40
Cllr. C. Campbell advised that Adam Price AC/AM and Jonathan Edwards AS/MP, Carmarthen East & Dinefwr had forwarded their concerns and recommendations to Welsh Government regarding safety measures along the A40 Carmarthen to Llandeilo.
It was also noted that despite notifying SWTRA on several occasions regarding a depression in the road near Dryslwyn Square no remedial work had been carried out. Cllr. Morgan and the clerk to notify them once again.
Cof/Min 19/86 FOOD BANK – LLANGATHEN
On the 10th September 2020, Cllrs. Cefin Campbell, Beryl Jones and Ann Davies arranged for the collection of food items at Llangathen Hall. Contributions were received from and will be donated to the areas of Llangathen, Broad Oak, Court Henry and Dryslwyn. They were overwhelmed with the excellent response from the community. The response was exceptional and it was a very successful evening, something that might well be repeated.

Cadarnhawyd bod y ddau ddiffibriliwr (yn Nerwen-fawr a Siop Dryslwyn) yn gweithio’n iawn.
It was confirmed that the two Defibrillators (Broad Oak and Dryslwyn Shop) were in working order.
19/96 ADRODDIAD Y CYNGHORYDD SIR / COUNTY COUNCILLORS REPORT
Cllr. Cefin Campbell gave an up date on the county’s field hospitals – Selwyn Samuel Centre, Carmarthen and Llanelli Leisure Centres.
COVID 19 -Carmarthenshire was now regarding as an area of concern.
Cllr. Campbell reiterated the success of the Food Bank collection that had recently been organised in Llangathen that would help those suffering from the COVID 19 pandemic.
Broad band – Cllr. Campbell brought to the attention of council the efforts CCC were taking in order to better the Broadband connection in rural areas. Letters had been sent out to the rural community requesting that they register their interest with Welsh Government regarding this.
19/97 UNRHYW FATER ARALL / ANY OTHER BUSINESS
1. Street light not working in Llangathen. Clerk to report
2. Felindre. It has been reported that the drains need cleaning before winter sets in. Also patching only had been carried out on potholes. Cllr. E. Morgan to look into the issue.
3. Court Henry. It had been reported that the speed limit of 30 mph did not register on vehicles fitted with speed notification technology. The clerk to report to CCC.
4. BT Exchange Building, Dryslwyn Square. It was reported that the building is of an unkempt appearance, chipping render and paint, overgrown and with boundary fencing unsafe. The clerk to report.
DYDDIAD CYFARFOD NESAF / DATE OF NEXT MEETING
It was resolved that the date for the next meeting of Llangathen Community Council will be held on 17th November 2020. Location will be subject to lockdown guidelines.
