An invoice has been received for the sum of £490.00 from Wales Audit which is a considerable increase on previous years.  The clerk has requested a breakdown of charges before paying.

Mae’r TAW o £472.26 wedi’i gredydu i gyfrif banc y cyngor.

The VAT claim of £472.26 has been credited to the council’s bank account.

LWFANSAU AELODAU / MEMBERS ALLOWANCE

All members present made the decision not to claim the Councillor Allowances.  Councillors were mindful of the implications a claim would have on the annual precept and it was important to them to keep community costs down. The clerk to arrange for the distribution of the appropriate opt out forms.

Penderfynwyd mai’r gofyniad praesept ar gyfer 2024/2025 fyddai £9,000.

It was resolved that the precept requirement for 2024/2025 be £9,000.  

COUNCILLOR VACANCY

Roedd y cyngor yn drist o dderbyn llythyr ymddiswyddiad gan y Cyng. Linda Hughes. Y clerc i drefnu i bosteri swyddi gwag gael eu gosod yn lleol ac ar y wefan.

The council was saddened to have received a letter of resignation from Cllr. Linda Hughes.  The clerk to arrange for vacancy posters to be placed locally and on the website.

Am resymau diogelwch, bydd y fainc a leolir ger Pont Dryslwyn yn cael ei symud.

For safety reasons, the bench sited near Dryslwyn Bridge will be removed.

Gyda’r clerc wedi gadael yr ystafell, trafodwyd cyflog y clerc. Yn dilyn canllawiau a ddarparwyd gan NALC a chan ddefnyddio’r ffigyrau a ddarparwyd gan yr NJC cytunwyd y dylai cyflog clerc godi i £3,322.66 y flwyddyn. Gan fod y clerc yn cael ei dalu’n fisol, diwygiwyd cytundeb y clerc i adlewyrchu hyn. Diolchwyd i’r clerc am ei gwaith fel clerc/SAC a hefyd am y gwaith a gyflawnwyd yn ystod yr archwiliad llawn diweddar.

With the clerk having left the room, the clerks salary was discussed.  Following guidelines provided by NALC and using the figures supplied by NJC it was agreed that the clerks salary should increase to £3,322.66 per annum.  As the clerk was being paid monthly, the clerks contract was amended to reflect this. The clerk was thanked for her work as clerk/RFO and also for the work carried out during the recent full audit.

It was resolved that the next meeting of Llangathen Community Council would be held on Tuesday 16^th  January 2024 at the Reading Room, Court Henry at 7.30pm.

Bydd gwasanaeth ffôn ar gael i’r rhai na allant fynychu’n bersonol.

A telephone service will be made available to those not able to attend in person.

Roedd yr holl aelodau bellach wedi arwyddo’r ffurflenni optio allan yn cadarnhau nad ydynt yn dymuno derbyn y taliad caniataol o £150. All members had now signed the opt out forms confirming that they do not wish to receive the allowable £150 payment.
